Terms of service

These terms at a glance

You pay for API access, we render your invoice data into PDFs, and we do not keep your data. Do not abuse the service or use it for anything illegal. Cancel whenever you like. If it is not for you, tell us within 14 days and we refund you. The detailed terms below say the same thing with more words.

1. The service

Papermint provides an HTTP API that converts structured invoice data, including raw Stripe payloads, into PDF documents. Papermint is a document rendering tool. It does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice, and a rendered PDF is not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific e-invoicing requirements (for example structured XML mandates in Germany or France). Verifying that your invoices meet the rules that apply to your business is your responsibility.

2. Accounts and API keys

Your API key is issued after checkout and is tied to your billing account. Keep it secret; requests made with your key are your requests. If a key is compromised, contact support and we will rotate it.

3. Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Monthly plans renew automatically until canceled through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges and your key keeps working until the end of the paid period. The lifetime plan is a one-time payment for as long as Papermint operates. Quotas are hard limits: requests beyond your plan's monthly quota return HTTP 429 and are never billed as overage.

4. Refunds

Not satisfied within the first 14 days of your first purchase? Email support@papermint.dev and we refund the full amount, no questions asked.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Papermint to produce fraudulent or deceptive documents, to infringe others' rights, or to attack the service itself (including attempts to bypass quotas or rate limits). We may suspend keys involved in abuse; where reasonable we will contact you first.

6. Your data

Invoice data you send exists only for the lifetime of the request. We store no invoice content. Billing metadata (your email, plan, usage counters) lives in Stripe. See the privacy policy for details.

7. Service quality

We aim for the service to be fast and available, and material changes are announced by email. The service is provided as-is without a formal SLA on current plans. Our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

8. Changes

If these terms change materially we will email the address on your billing account before the change takes effect.
